We are getting closer

Hello Everyone!


Well, this is it. It's finally completely out of our hands.

Social Services sent our dossier to Children's Bridge February 27 & I was on the phone with Nana at CB & she opened our package there on March 4. As she only works with the Kazakhstan people Mondays and Tuesdays, she promessed she would be going through our file on Monday March 10. She will then send it to be notorized & then sent to the Kazakhstan consulate in Ontario to be translated & then it's on it's way to Kazakhstan from there.

I am hoping the whole process while at CB will not take longer than 6 weeks from now so that our dossier would be in Kazakhstan no later than end of April so we can go there and be back home in time for her First Christmas.

I am kinda getting nervous but Sean, it doesn't seem to phase him right now. Josh is getting a bit antsy. I think he is nervous & perhaps a bit scared that he will have to share his mom & dad with another child but I am sure he will get over it soon. Most kids go through that phase anyway with their flesh & blood siblings. After all, he has been the centre of our world for 7 years with no one to come in between.

We are taking him to Disneyland in April and we are getting him a loft bed with a slide for his birthday so he sees that because our focus is starting to split that we are not forgetting him at all. He sees that we are starting to buy things for his sister slowly & that bothers him a bit I guess. I make sure to tell him that what ever we are getting her right now that he can read, play & look at it first to make sure it's okay for her to use. That makes him feel good that his job is to make sure everything is safe for her.

I will post again once our file is sent to Kazakhstan & then after that it will be when we are called with the proposal.
